The young man walking the streets was the last person anyone would have expected to be walking up to the Pokemon Lab. He could practically feel eyes staring at him as he made his way in its general direction, a purple and white cat marching at his side that he named Ugly. No one ever said he was creative with names. And it wasn't like he really even cared what they were called. Heck, he didn't even really care if the Purugly came with him. For all he cared, she could have stayed behind. Alas though, she didn't.
Letting out an annoyed sigh, the man ran a hand through his hair, pushing his messy blonde bangs back out of his eyes. It was a hot day... His clothes were sticking to him, he was thirsty, annoying children were running all around him, and he was forced to go on this stupid journey. To say the least, he was definitely not in a good mood. He hoped at least the Lab had air conditioning. He was used to more luxury than this, even if for most of his life he had been locked away and secluded in his own room in confinement.
"Do you always have to mope around?" Ugly -- or rather Belle as she preferred to call herself, grumbled in a huff. "You've been in such an unpleasant mood since we left the house." Aiden had a very violent urge to kick the ugly thing across the road, but somehow he managed to resist it, and control his appearance. "Look, no one asked you. So just stay silent or go away, will you?" He was never nice to her. Or any Pokemon for that reason. He just wanted their strength. If they were weak... They could screw off.
Belle rolled her eyes and just followed him in silence now. But it wasn't like he could force her to go away, she was his soul... They were more alike than he would care to admit... The personality of Aiden's that was locked deep down behind all his barriers. She just hoped that someone would eventually be able to break that barrier once more. Just like...
Finally, Aiden made it to the lab. Without any knock or indication of his arrival, he burst into the room with an annoyed stare. "Oi, anyone here?" Someone better be. He didn't have time for this... Even though he wasn't really in a rush.
Had he said today how much he hated working for this stupid place? He wasn't meant to be here and just doing it made him sick. There were to many trainers that were whinny and wanted something different and he just really didn't care. The young man had been forced to work here by his mother who had connections to the owner of the lab. Damn her, thinking he needed a attitude adjustment. He didn't need jack squat if it was up to him and the old lady needed to just shut her yap. After all he was going to be great some day, heck if he needed her to do that. All she did was slow him down and get in his way. After all, whether she thought so or not there was one place and one team he really wanted to be with.
That was when the echo of a voice vibrated off the walls and the boy stormed off towards the entrance of the labs. He had been busy doing his own thing but no someone had to enter every twenty or so minutes and stop him with what he was doing. Damn them all. Maybe they should just go away and never come back, that would make him quite happy. Upon entering the main room from the back however, he was greeted by a stranger that wasn't like the others. He didn't seem lost and that made him feel a bit better about this.
"I heard you." he said flatly. "I assume your here for a pokemon right? No one else really comes otherwise. I'd be appreciative you just chose one and went away. I have work to do and people keep bothering me. " he grumbled. The boy was obviously not the best with appearance or ... characteristic traits. "Well, I haven't got all day.. What the hell do you want to see?" he grumbled flatly. It seemed there was no better person for the blonde to have run into.

Belle just let out a long, deep sigh. Aiden could be such a... jerk sometimes. A stuck up one at that. Oh these entitled youths, all thinking so highly of themselves. He treated everyone with such disdain. One day he was going to be without anyone if he kept it up, but it wasn't like she could tell him that. He would just roll his eyes and tell her to go away or to shut up if she tried. Some kind of soul mate he was, huh?
Aiden let his eyes wander around the Pokemon Lab as he waited for some kind of answer, or person. He guessed it wasn't... too bad. But if he was the one who owned this place, it would be bigger, more spacious, and have a lot of bookshelves lining the walls littered with various books of all kinds...and maybe a few comic books for when he was alone. But he was drawn out of his thoughts when he heard another male. His eyes darted to the blue haired male and a frown crossed his face. Trust him, he wanted out of here too.
"Oh, believe me, I want out of here just as much as you want me gone." he huffed. Grumpy brat... Though it wasn't like he was any different, was it? "I want to see your strongest Pokemon here. Except Fire Types. I don't want to see a single Fire Type." He refused to take any, for reasons he refused to explain aloud. He was just afraid of them because of events in his past, and he refused to accept any. None would ever be on his team, and if he saw one, he would just make a fool of himself.
The boy could tell he wouldn't be very pleased with this newcomer. If it wasn't enough that he was stopped in the middle of his important worked it seemed the two of them were just not compatible. There was after all only so much testosterone that could be contained in one room at a time. The two of them already had too much for themselves let alone a mirror image in the making so it was obvious that the two would definitely not get along.
A small smirk played at the boy's face at the male's response. 'No fire types eh? We'll see about that' he thought before a sly smile formed his face. "Of course, give me a moment and I'll be right back. The slight hint of something black came from behind the desk as a purloin slowly stretched and followed the boy into the back. Well.. that probably wasn't a good sign. Weren't purloin known to be the mischievous types? This probably wasn't going to turn out well for the blonde.
After a moment or two the black-haired boy came back with three pokemon in hand. Was that a grin that was on his face before being wiped off? The blackette smiled some before moving back. "I think I found the perfect pokemon for you." he said before releasing each one with a small smirk. Oh this was going to be super amusing to watch.
The first out was the very thing the blonde had requested NOT to appear. A small female vulpix was released as she shook her fur and her tails out as if she hadn't been let out for a while. Unlike other vulpix she was a lot smaller and one of her tails seemed singed as if she herself had been burned by fire. Though upon seeing the blonde and his pokemon her initial reaction was to cuddle with him. A cute little cry came as she moved quickly to try and rub against his leg.
The second out was really.. a pathetic excuse for a choice. A fish out of water (quite literally) as a magikarp appeared splashing around and pretty much doing nothing else. The purloin at the blackette's feet however moved forward pawing at the fish. The blackette really didn't care since well.. it would probably just get eaten eventually right?
The last out was another small pokemon, a pichu. It blinked its big black eyes and looked around the room. It was actually the first to say anything despite the other two. ("Is this really the big deal? I can't believe this is really it. I thought it would be bigger and more exciting.") he complained a little. With a sigh he carried himself over near the trainer.
