She was ready. Without a doubt, she was ready. Granted, it was a large step but she had great company and she knew that something great awaited her. Oh arceus, she could barely contain her excitement. She didn't even know where to begin, where to start. She was just walking - in fact she was fairly sure she was lost. She wasn't about to let her complete lack of direction daunt her.
"We have passed the same vase for the fourth time."
The arcanine grumbled, voice like rumbling thunder. Isidora stopped, bag thumping against her leg. She could feel the egg nudge the fabric of the bag and she scowled, raising a hand to scratch her head. She hated it when Infierno was right, but the arcanine usually was. She could feel his breath on her shoulder. "¡Vaya!" She swore - walking forward to peek down the hallways. Every now and then, the scenery would change - a table would appear or a fake plant that smelled like cleaning product. But for the past hour or so there had been no human contact, or pokemon contact. Isidora was already an impatient soul and this incident (one she had gotten herself into) was driving her up the wall. But nonetheless, she would persevere!
"Alright Fier. Which direction do you think she would go?" She said, walking to the end of the hall and glancing left and right. She heard Infierno follow and his hulking frame was soon next to her own. He followed her example, glancing left and right before yawning. She could see the chip in his fang so similar to a chip within her own teeth before the arcanine shut his mouth and shrugged. She started to ponder, bring a finger up to her lip before immediately snapping her fingers. Looking up the fire pokemon, she smiled. "Here's the plan. You bust down that wall and keep going until we hit a room." She said with excitement, pointing the wall right to the left of them which held an empty picture frame. The arcanine blinked once, twice as though he were pondering the idea before shaking his head. "I have the feeling that would create more problems than solve them." Isidora walked over to the suggested wall and gave it a pat. "We'll never know unless we try."
The arcanine scowled and sat. "No.""Ugh!" She threw her hands up in the air. "You are so stubborn." She scowled, a trait, she had yet to realize, they shared. Instead, she dropped the bag carefully near Infierno's paws before doing a quick stretch and jog. Infierno knew exactly where this was going but didn't say anything. Sometimes Isidora had to learn for herself. Shoulder first, she tackled the wall and only proceeded to shake the picture frame delicately.
Infierno only smiled which caused Isidora to scowl. "I will get us somewhere." She snapped before immediately jumping to her feet and launching herself at the same wall. With a sigh, the large pokemon accepted the situation they were in and checked in on the egg in the messenger bag.
It had been a rough start to the day for Erin. Not only had she gotten to work late and forgotten to put up the direction signs for new Coordinators, but some bitch had eaten her chocolate she hid in a side room for later. Sure, she probably could stand to have a healthier diet, but the girl needed her treats. There was little that upset her more than someone stealing her shit, but when that shit was food, she could be out for blood. Her Munchlax shared that passion for food, obviously, and was equally as irritated to hear of the gross injustice of stolen snacks. The two were stomping around the building, trying to find the culprit, remainder of the chocolate bar in hand.
"I mean the nerve of some people, you know? Who just wanders into a room and steals someone food? That sounds like treason in my book. Arceus damn." The swearing was probably a bit much for someone working in a building primarily used for new coordinators, but she couldn't help herself. As her anger began to slowly work itself down as she realized the odds that she was going to find the culprit were slim, she noticed the faint nose of someone hitting the wall nearby. Turning the corner, she saw an Arcanine tending to a bag while a red haired girl tried to bash through a wall.
"Uh, hello, what do you think you're doing?" In the sugar-deprived mood she was already in, it had taken a lot out of her to keep the swearing out of her brief question. Forgetting the half-eaten bar in her hand, she walked up, Munchlax still at her side to the girl attempting to damage her building of work, ready to do some ass-kicking if need be.

Her shoulder was starting to ache but she wasn't about to admit it to Infierno who was quite content in putting his head on his paws - watching through slitted eyes. She got to her feet and launched herself at the wall once more. It had a lot less force and the picture frame barely shuddered. With a large, melodramatic sigh, she dropped on her back and groaned. "Fier, I'm tired." She complained loudly, throwing her hands up in the air. Yet, the arcanine didn't answer. Instead he lifted his head from his paws and ears pricked forward.
Isidora found herself looking at a red plant wearing jeans. Then she realized she was upside down and rolled onto her stomach. Not a plant but a person with a sullen looking munchlax as their companion. She was rather dumbfounded by the question, after all the answer was right in front of her. "Uh, obviously I'm breaking down the wall so I can get out of this damn labyrinth." She started, adjusting her position so she was in a sitting stance with legs crossed. With a roll of his eyes the arcanine gathered Isidora's bag and dropped on her lap. He sat next to her, towering over the munchlax and the girl herself and blinked.
She hated to admit that she was lost, but she was indeed. "Ugh, I'm lost. I was supposed to get my starter today but I guess I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." She said before eyes lit up and she bounced to her feet in a liquid movement. "I guess you work here! Can you lead me to where my starter is? Oh please!" She begged, hands together and tight. She looked frantically back to her partner and when she saw him sit there stoically, she made a motion with her head. He sighed before giving his best puppy-dog eyes complete with floppy ears and sad tail.
With a look that came across very condescending, Erin scoffed. "Oh, well of course, why wouldn't someone be trying to bash in a wall? My bad, I should've expected that." The sarcasm was almost visibly dripping out of her mouth, the look on her face creating an overall impossibly sassy facade. Even her Munchlax looked up at her a bit shocked, she usually wasn't this aggressive. But man, that chocolate bar debacle was really getting to her. "I know that candy was important but ease up a little, Erin!"
"Just follow me. Somebody must've forgotten to put the signs up today." Cringing as she turned, she remembered that was her job to do today. Oops. Hopefully she's the only one that got lost. Maneuvering them through the correct hallways, she directed the girl to the front of the desk while she went around. With a quick few keystrokes, she logged into the computer and looked back up.
"All righty, so you're looking to be a coordinator? I'm going to need your name, hometown, and what starter Pokémon you'd like. The former two for your identification. Hopefully we have what you want in stock."

She was pretty sure that sarcasm but heck, Isidora was damn pumped to worry about it. Any other occasion though, Isidora would have showed this red-headed walking plant whose boss. Perhaps another reason why Fier was so good to be her anchor - the fire type pokemon was the opposite of a burning blaze, but was rather a glowing ember. She could feel his chin against her shoulder, eyes focused on the pokemon beside the person. Taking the bag that also held her pokemon egg, Isidora grinned her award-winning smile and followed. "I wouldn't worry about it - would have made my break through sooner or later." She said, her feet matching the beat of Fier's claws clicking against the floor.
As the lady logged herself in the computer, Isidora took this as her chance to glance around. Again, very plain - not nearly as exciting as she would have liked but Isidora's taste usually included explosives and loud radios. She paused and faltered, hesitating with a weird expression on her face. "Name's Isidora Estelle Ramirez and I come from just outside Kyuka. " This of course was all basic information but what made the to-be coordinator hesitate was the idea of starter. She just assumed she would get a random pokemon or a choice. But to choose her own? Alas, that was a little extreme for her. Besides, Isidora hadn't really thought ahead this far - she was a person who lived in the present. A panicked glance to her arcanine who sighed softly only showed that he had indeed thought ahead. His soft breath tickled her ear as he leaned forward with warm brown eyes.
"We would be very interested in a seel or a budew. We would be honored to meet the selection, if that would not be too much trouble. " His voice was deep in the likes of rolling thunder and he blinked once, twice before withdrawing back into his shell. Immediately, Isidora could see his line of thought. A grass type or water type would balance out his own fire-type skill and not only did he pick traditionally beautiful pokemon but he also choose a type that would look theatrically pleasing on stage. He excluded a pick for the magnemite as Isidora had yet to decided if the unhatched pokemon belonged on her coordinating team or not. She agreed with his choices and leaned forward. "It's not going to be too much trouble right?" She said with a grin.
Erin wasn't surprised in the slightest that the girl wasn't prepared with a starter choice. It seemed like more and more of the new coordinators came to register unprepared, and it was sort of expected at this point. Plus, this girl, Isidora, seemed far more impulsive than thoughtful. Luckily, her soul Pokémon seemed to be ahead of the girl, an interesting and useful juxtaposition.
Typing in the girl's name and hometown, her fingers flew over the keyboard rapidly, trying to get through this as fast as possible. The anger-high was slowly fading and the lack of sugar in her system was starting to hit her. Sure it was unhealthy, but a form of lethargy seemed to be sweeping over her. Damn I wish I had that chocolate. In any case, she was responsible for getting this girl her starter. After she hit to print the ID, she headed back to the room without a word to retrieve Pokéballs of the only Seel and Budew they had in stock.
"Looks like your Arcanine picked well, we had one of each of his choices waiting back there." Flicking her wrist, she tossed both Pokéballs, releasing the two Pokémon onto the floor in front of the desk. The Water-Pokémon seemed to try and shuffle himself back against the wall, a nervous look in his eyes. A very apprehensive Pokémon, he wasn't much to rushing into meeting someone new, anxious that something bad could happen. Especially with the girl in front of him, the Arcanine and her tangibly big personality made him very uncomfortable. The Budew, on the other hand, twirled around once before wandering off. While he wasn't even remotely as nervous as the Seel, he had always been rather absent-minded and didn't even realize that he was supposed to be introducing himself. "What a beautiful day it looks like outside. These lights are rather bright, don't you think?"
"Well, here they are. These are the only Seel and Budew we have today, so you may take as long as you'd like to get to know them before making your choice."
